Beyond the fact that Amlou tastes, at least in my completely unbiased opinion, absolutely amazing, this project began as something much more personal. It started from a deep sense of pride in my Amazigh heritage and a longing for the flavors I grew up with.

For years, I made Amlou at home for friends and family. Every time they tried it, I heard the same thing: "You should start selling this." What they loved wasn't just the rich, natural flavor, but also the story behind it, a recipe passed down through generations in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

So I finally decided to turn that encouragement into reality.

Amlou.dk is my way of sharing a small piece of the Atlas Mountains. Every jar is made in small batches using simple, natural ingredients and inspired by a tradition that has brought people together for centuries.

More than a spread, Amlou is a taste of home, heritage, and the culture I'm proud to share with others.
